    He pai! You have worked hard to find three similarities and differences between these two plants. They can indeed both live to be over 50 years old, in fact, Welwitschia Mirabilis can live for around about 1450 years more than the Lithop.

    Lots of people like to keep exotic animals and plants. Perhaps next time you can do a bit of research and look for ways you could take care of either plant if you wanted one. There is sure to be interested people who would appreciate the information. :)

    I don't think I'd want to keep a Lithop, maybe a Venus Flytrap might be a better fit for my home and a bit more interesting to look at. Would you try keeping any of these plants?
