  1. Kia Ora Fatima,
That is a very nice poem to go along with the southern lights. Well Done!

I like your descriptive words like golden and shiny, and terrific and stunning. Your poem has good ideas, and it makes the southern lights seem awesome!

Maybe next time you can add colours and photos to make it seem more exciting!

    Happy Blogging

  2. Hi Fatima,

I'm Leslie and I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey team, reading your blog from my home in Canada. I'm so glad that you've chosen to participate in this program this year - good for you!

You've done a good job creating an acrostic poem about the Southern Lights. You've used descriptive words given the impression that they're really special. Good for you!

Have you ever had a chance to see the Southern Lights yourself?

Living in Canada, I'm in the northern hemisphere so we don't have the 'southern' lights here, rather we see the "Northern Lights". Makes sense, doesn't it?

I've only seen them twice as I don't live far enough north to see them on a regular basis. They are magical, I must say!! It's so amazing to look up into a dark sky and see ribbons of green, pink, white and orange light dancing across the horizon.

I hope you're having some fun outside this summer, as well as enjoying these blogging activities! What are your favourite things to do in the summer?

We're in the middle of our winter here and it's really really cold today. I've just come in from walking my dog, Spirit, and I had to put on every piece of clothing I owned in order to stay warm. But it's bright and beautiful outside, with lots of snow on the ground, so I quite love the winter!!

I hope you're having a good day! I'll continue to enjoy reading your blog.

    Cheers,

    Leslie
