Thank you for sharing your opinion on weaving Fatima. I think you could definitely get frustrated if you are new to weaving. It takes a long while to learn how to weave different patterns and takes a lot of practise to master it. Maybe one day you could give it another go, have you ever tried weaving with paper?
I have seen so many beautiful things that have been woven with flax, woolly yarn, paper and even coloured plastic from a plastic bag! I would love to weave my Mum, sisters and niece an ili (fan), using wool and flax. I'd definitely try hard to master the basic patterns and techniques first though. I hope when I do give it a go the ili will turn out neat, tidy and wonderfully bright!
